Next Thursday, October 10, a conference of the Daat Emet organization will be held at the Ramat Gan Workers' Council on the topic of separating state and religion. During the conference Yaron Yadan, a kollel leader who left religion, will speak to the general public.
Daat Emet, which holds conferences and distributes pamphlets throughout the country, has set as its goal the fight for a separation between state and religion. In the material they distribute members of Daat Emet try to wake the public up to the danger they find in the Charedi public continuing to raise citizens who do not serve in the army, who no not learn secular studies, who do not work, and who see the Zionist state and its laws as a sort of enemy. Daat Emet's warnings include the financial burden of Charedi families which will cause an economic collapse in Israel and the sweeping exemption from the army which the Charedi enjoy which will lead to the collapse of the military.
